hutch from kitchen black moldingdining room talbe charis w cabinetWe all have our own tastes and all grow in different directions.  And when it comes to a family heirloom like a piece of furniture, while you want to keep it in the family and around for generations to come, it may not fit your taste or style.  Restoring it to either it’s original beauty or into a totally new look can be done with ease.  For this set of dining room furniture, my client had a wonderful vision of duplicating it to look like an Ethan Allen piece she saw in a catalogue, and I delivered.  We went with a maple colored stain on top of both the dining table and hutch and painted the legs of the table, bottom and top of hutch, and all the chairs black.  Everything was coated with a clear satin coat of polyurethane to finish it off.
